Views: 195
Size:  20.9 KBI just bought this and can find out nothing. I would appreciate any feedback offered. It is stamped Artraco New York, Solingen

    Hard to tell from the photo. Clear shots of the stampings on both sides of the tang might be more useful.

    Yes Bob, I know but I simply copied the photo from Ebay so when the blade gets here I will put on a better image. Thx for looking

    It's a straight razor.

    German steel, imported by Artraco in NYC. Clean razor, put it to work!

    I could be wrong, but it seems to me when a razor is double stamped, as in New York and Germany, the razor was produced in Germany for the company in New York. The issue is often that there is no makers mark, most of the info is about the reseller. Some of the resellers were well noted for selling exceptional blade, Peter J.Micheals comes to mind as well as SR Droescher and I'm sure there are many many more.

    Your razor was sold by Arrowhead Trading Co., 132 Nassau Street, New York, N.Y., circa 1922 - 1923
