    Default 3/8 Razor

I have been meaning to post this one, but completely forgot about it. It was sent to me as a gift when they found out I was into straight razors. It is a 3/8 near wedge (or atleast it is now) and tapers down to about 5/16 at the toe. The hone wear is 1/32. When I first looked at it I thought it was honed alot. At first I figured it was originally a 4/8, but not so sure now. The tang is 3/32 wide and about 1/4 tall. Even my tiny 4/8 Henry Sears & Son that I got rid of had a tang that was taller. I had to take a wire brush to the tang to read it. Marked: Imported By WmBrokhahne 298 Canal New York. I am still thinking it was originally a 4/8, but either way I am really wanting to shave with this little thing. I have seen some manufactured 3/8 razors and have been wanting one so this will work for now. Here is hoping that it will hone up and let me shave with it.

That is what I was thinking. Maybe 4/8 at the most. Just have to soak the scales and give them a sanding, a polish and then I get to hone it and shave with it. I'm looking forward to it.

My first thought was to say it's "cute" but then I realized I'm talking about a very manly instrument and "cute" wouldn't be appropriate.
