Thanks for all the kind comments!
You can do a lot with a dremel. I haven't owned one for long, but basically used it with a little drill press thing that is made for it to route and drill holes. Also used a belt sander. Oh, and the lathe to turn the pillars, but you could substitute some kind of metal rod there. The CA finish is easy to do - just cut little bits of paper towel to apply and if you mess up you can just sand it and resume.
Patience is probably the biggest trick - that and not expecting everything to turn out perfect. I bet you'd surprise yourself if you tried. I don't have a whole lot of experience doing stuff like this, but it was worth the effort for sure - had a lot of fun making it.

Thanked: 49The rack looks great. In regards to someone else trying to make one; they sell all different sizes of wooden dowels in the big box stores and some smaller hardware stores. What is that straight on the far right? I really like the design on the spine.

That is the best one I have seen so far! It reminds me of a gun rack plus it has 7 spots. One for each day. I would buy one of those.
What a curse be a dull razor; what a prideful comfort a sharp one
