I just had a great phone conversation with the DHL delivery guy worthy of sharing on this thread.
DHL dude: I am at your home, when may I deliver your package?
Me: I will be home late tomorrow night, maybe Wednesday morning?
DHL dude: Can I leave it here for you somewhere? I can hide it.
Me: Ok, go through the side gate and leave it behind the shrub, next to the ****? (blanked out to deter any naughty thoughts)
DHL dude: Sure no problem at all.
Me: By the way, there should already be another package left at the front door by UPS, would you mind grabbing that package and putting it there too....
DHL dude: Yep I see it, not a problem.
DHL dude, you are a LEGEND!!! :beer1: :y
Same vendor for me and I think I can guess what was in your package based on our other thread... I knew that the UPS package would be there waiting on the step but it wasn't nearly as valuable as the order that I had coming from JNS... When it flew through customs it gave me quite a scare that no one would be there to take it and I will only have 4 days in Reno before I am traveling again. I got very lucky with both delivery speed and the nice guy who came to deliver.
Well this happened to be a stone :)
My strop is coming from Hawaii :)
I had Captains Choice Bay Rum and the matching RazorRock shave soap show up in the mail today. I was unable to test the soap out.........tomorrow's another day.

However, I was up late relaxing last night with my iPad and came across a Merkur DE (Merkur Heavyweight Stainless Steel) that looked so good I had to buy it from SRD. It's in the mail as of this morning.

Please tell me to stop and refer me to the 800 number that deals with these problems.
Drinking is cheaper.
Remember that Wonderedge that got to insane price levels on the bay a few weeks ago? I know the seller and the top 2 bidders tuned out to be bums. Since I was the 3rd highest it's mine for about half what the others bid it up to. It's on it's way west.
Also have another coticule coming in from the quarry in Ardennes - along with two wooden boxes, one for the new stone, one to fit an older one from there that I bought a few weeks ago. Does anyone else know that if you spend $200 on a coticule these days it does not come with a box?!?! Guess I needed to buy a bigger one...
And finally about $80 worth of threads and hackle for fly tying. Well... OK... a roll top desk will be delivered tomorrow that I'll use for fly tying and some amount of honing but that's not in the mail, it's a truck delivery. And... I guess I should mention Charlie Craven's latest fly tying book as well as the last 3 fishing books from John Gierach that I seem to have lost somehow (the guy lives a few miles from here but I don't seem to ever run into him when I'm in Lyons, so I bought the books online) ...and a new PEAK fly tying vice since my ancient no-name one doesn't want to hang onto hooks anymore, but that's being delivered to my fly fishing shop for me to pick up, so it doesn't count. Oh and there may be another razor inbound but I'll be darned if I can remember what it was - that guy that has my eBay login data may have been busy last weekend.
There are bids in on another 4 auctions for fly tying materials but there's another day to those auctions, so, they're not inbound - yet.
Since SWMBO is headed this way across the room I'll end by saying that's all...

Well, that post was made 3/21 and I am still waiting. It appears the UNITED STATES POST OFFICE has lost my stone.
If USPS cannot give the people at Shapton any info today, Shapton will send me another stone. So, I will have to wait another week for my order.
