Aloha!
I was happy to get my order of Speick Aftershave Balm in the mail yesterday. I've been using Nivea Sensitive for a while. It's the most soothing and moisturizing aftershave Balm I have ever used to date. And it's inexpensive. I was anxious to try Speick's Aftershave Balm.
Both are German companies, and both products have identical ingredients. Vitamin E, Aloe, Chamomile and Witch Hazel Extract.
When I put the Nivea on my face, even after a less than stellar shave, I get amazing instant soothing that lasts. The Germans obviously have the ingredient recipe nailed for irritation soothing. And the moisturizing effect of the Nivea feels good for a short time. It fades quickly. The Speick has about the same effect as the Nivea. It's instantly soothing. But the moisturizing seems to last hours and hours without being greasy. And as a bonus, you get the Speick fragrance.
The Nivea has a few advantages in this comparison. It's basically fragrance free, so you can use it with any shave products. And it's less expensive. But if you like Speick's fragrance and want lasting moisturizing, then Speick is definitely an amazing product.

I've had such a great few days.
I came second in the december giveaway and won a tub of Stirling Soaps "Agar" and I can't tell you how happy I am because i was thinking of buying that one.
To celebrate I just bought some Agar post shave balm and some Agar beard oil.

BUT WAIT
Sharp Dresed Man smells like irish Tweed, I don't have that smell either - but I will in a few days.

I can't believe what good value Stirling stuff is, a great lather and look how big the jars are

Will be at my house Monday. Too bad I’ll probably be 500+ miles from my house that day.
Boy, slim! That thing looks immaculate!
No artist, Skorpio, but I can envision something like this. A nice, smooth smile will be better, I think.

Thanks sharptonn. I thought it was so... but wasn't sure! :)
Anyway, I honed it yesterday "as is" and got some problem to get a good bevel toward the toe. :hmmm:
I'll see how it shaves... I would like to avoid lowering it ... if possible. Otherwise I'll proceed as you suggested.
