Now that sounds like a TONs of work but I am still envious. I travel all the time so basically I am homeless if you don't consider my corporate apartment and hotel rooms. Some day I may have to settle in some where just so that I can set up another restoration shop... Until then I will settle for living life vicariously through the likes of yourself. Thanks for sharing.

Being a barber definitely has its perks.

What was that movie with Bill Murray, "Ground Hog Day", do you ever wonder if you're in a version of it?

That Wosty pipe's quite nice, looks in primo condition, couple of wipes with some polish, onto the hones, and you're smokin'!

Good buddy of mine had a shop in Kearny, NJ back in the '70s and '80s. He had a sign in the window that he collected razors. People brought him all sorts of cool stuff, and a lot of it for free. Definitely had its perks for him. Unfortunately he passed away and AFAIK didn't take any of it with him.

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Doubt ive sunk an average of 7-8 dollars per razor into them too, he sold probably 500 to another guy and id guess based on the other guys ebay history there were 20-30 razors over an inch wide.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
