    Default Sir Escher of Finishland

Picked up Sir Escher (blue/green) recently. I've been working so hard on perfecting the Zulu Grey that I haven't even laid a blade on him.

Dang! That seems thick for an Escher. Certainly a fine stone. Drool!

I know that many folks on SRP revere the Eschers for finishers. Also, I know everyone has their own opinion but are they really worth the money that they go for? I have seen some on the bay go for close to $1000. I won't be investing in a stone of this caliber anytime soon (I would be in divorce court if I spent 1k on a stone) unless I stumble across one at a yard sale or something which will never happen, but hey I can dream right?

    This stone measures about 7" x 1.5" x 7/8" thick Tom.

Escher is an old brand of thungarien (sp) which was graded back then and labeled. Tons of them without labels and other mystery thurries out there. The money is in the label, in that regard!
