Thanked: 0Picked these two up yesterday. Would like some info
I came across these two yesterday. I don't know if they are anything of note but for what I have into them....might be ok
The one says J.R Torrey Razor Worcester MA,
The other says Grantie 42 and I believe it said Paris as well. The back side of the Grantie says HB520
Scales on the Torrey are chipped. Scales on the Grantie are of wood and seem decent, although I don't know if they are original.

My experiences with torrey razors have always been good, should be a fine shaving implement, no clue on the other razor.

Thanked: 4249As Dennis mentioned Torrey's are a good quality razor. The other razor marked "42 Garantie Paris" was fabricated in Haute Marne in France by Henri Béligné, another high quality piece.

Thanked: 1So I'm curious how the 42 shaves? I've found one in my area for $45 and am wondering if it's worth cleaning up and getting honed?
Thanks
