    Default CV Heljestrand Frameback

I'm amazed at how slim and delicate this razor is.

The tang is 1/16th and the frame back is 3/16.

Dunno yet. I have to see if there is anything special to know about honing a frameback like this.

When honing, tape it. The frame is most likely brass, which wears significantly faster than steel.

They are very light and the trickiest part is stropping. But they do shave nicely once you get used to the minimal weight.

Here it is after honing and shaving. It is a great shaver but a little too small and light for my big numb mits. Hardly anything to hold on to, especially when I use a straight grip. You will also notice a slight chip, something I didn't see until looking at the pic on the computer. It made no difference to the shave (that I noticed) but I'll have to go back and work it out. Damn my eyesight, had to get a loop to look at it.

It also need a radical rolling xstroke to get a bevel on the toe.
