I had that one on my watchlist because it had a delicious SPIKE and looked pretty much NOS I agree. You snagged a nice Barber Supply era blade!

"Motor City B.S. Co."
Now that's a company name.
That's a fine looking razor. I'm not usually a fan of fancy or embellished scales but I have to say I kind of like the combination of the green with the bolsters on that one.
It was in original condition, faded red, well-worn, but nice.
This was and still is my favorite combination; beautiful, original, and worn.

Thanked: 284That's one nice looking razor. I'm a sucker for old school gaudy-ness when it's classy (brass, metal flake, etc). Super nice.
Yes it's new, but no need to apologize - it's still "old".I love living in the past...

Beauteous ! From the scales and from that little band decorating the tang, I'd bet money it was made by F.W. Engles in their "Special" model format. If I'm right you can't beat them for a quality shaving razor. Good as any dubl duck, Filly or Puma IME. Congrats .

Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 1185"Motor City B.S. Co." <<, I got a kick out of that too :<0) I think it would be a good name for a bar.
You may be right Jimmy. It reminded me of a Spike Special too but I haven't compared anything yet. It was the green behind the bolster thing that caught my eye. I think that is part of why I am drawn to the Ducks. Mystery behind who made what and when. I haven't test drove it yet but I can tell it's going to be a winner.Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
