Nice ! I was told by a long time straight razor collector that Case Bros used a washer on the pivot pin and no washer with the pin at the wedge end. So those scales are probably the original set.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Nice, Dennis! That type of scale was glued at the bottom in all the ones I have had. If the glue ever let go, a fix was to pin the bottom!

Heard that from the guy I got this Case Bros Springville, NY from. That particular style scale on yours was very popular for rescales. The rescales would have only been pinned at the top, as Tom mentioned. Note the wedge end of my Case Bros genuine tortoise. Pinned with no washer. Originally Posted by DennisBarberShop
