Thread: The Finest Razor Ever Made

In my humble opinion............No need for Goldwash, fancy decoration. Simply Swedish. A Classic arrived today in my den. Please allow me a moment to gush.

Gotta like them Swedish 'tunas. If it starts with MK it snds with a smooth.

Have had several, are truly some of the best of the best bar none.
I would give my left Gonad to find a priestine 134.I never will tho
But my friend, in a few weeks you will find another best ever made and the love affair will sadley end.

Yes ... ivory. And for less than a gonad I can delivee a MK134.

Can't pull the wool over my eyes. I see some fancy lines in that razor that more than make up for the lack of fading gold or etch. :<0)
That thumb notch with the short taper coming right off the double stabilizer which by the way has a look all it's own. Very nice.

I really enjoy a lot of kinds of straight razors, but the best shave for me is provided by those swedish ones.

They ally beauty and efficacy (but you gotta say it low, because they're already expensive... )

I bought my C.V. Heljestrand (MK 4) in near new condition several years ago from an old man at a flea market. He was asking $12 for it. I haggled him down to $8. To this day it is my go to razor. Ridiculously simple to put an edge on and seems to go ages between touch ups and remain amazingly sharp with just regular stropping. What's not to love?

And I have to thank Thaeris for mine and luck also.

Thaeris found one on ebay that he thought would appeal to me. So it did. But at the same time, the blade was hum... Dead.
A few weeks later I found another one for a full 15€, same MK31 model with ivory scales. (suffices to say, if I removed a blade scaled in ivory, the scales of the other where... Hum, anyway)

To the point. I don't care much for hollow razors, I am a wedges kind of guy. But I have to admit that these are damn fine razors...
