Thread: First Duck arrived!

From what I can see in the photos there is not much to do. Some cleanup and a little etal polish, hone and you are set. Why do oy want to re pin. If the blade is loose it can easily be tightened. You can get most of the gunk as you call it with tooth picks and an old toothbrush and dish wash liquid. Then dry real good and disinfect. Good luck.

Only reason I was thinking of having to repin it was because the rust appears to be into the pivot hole. Couldn't get a good pic of it. So in order to get to all the rust it will have to come apart unless there is a trick I am missing. An yes overall this dwarf is pretty clean.

Like bouschie said..toothpicks and a toothbrush can remove a LOT...

Yeah I think I watched 10-20 videos last night. Was really hoping not to lose what I believe to be the original pins. In the end this is just a shaver going in rotation. Wont be a beauty queen. Just don't want rust on it either.

Happy to say that after a soak in warm water with some dish soap what appeared to be rust was just vintage razor gunk LOL. Spent some time with toothbrush qtips an toothpicks. Cleaned up real nice. Polished up a bit with mothers. Tightened pins today at work. So now it needs honed up an sanitized to be ready for a test run. Laughing the entire time cause I have next to nothing in this sweet little duck.
