Richard Beinhauer's Celebrated Razors
Just got these in. I haven't found much of anything on the maker yet, but it is one of the most fantastic pairs of razors I have handled. The scales are finely carved ivory; the spines are worked. Overall a work of art, and they fit perfectly in the ivory case I already had. The mark is Richard Beinhauer; I couldn't turn him up, but I'm thinking these razors are of Sheffield origin.

Really makes no difference who made them. They could have been made by a near sighted Martian by the dark of the moon while being inebriated. They truelt are a work of art. I am jealous of your ownership (can't help it, the child in me is saying that.)

What an incredible pair of razors. The way they fit the case you would think it was made for those two razors.

No, not Sheffield, they are from Florida. Richard gave them to me personally. I left them on a Grayhound bus by mistake and have been hoping someone would find them. PM for my mailing address and of course I'll give a small reward ........
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Astounding!
I'm thinking possibly London, but I can't turn up anything on Beinhauer. Maybe Neil can find something?-Zak Jarvis. Writer. Artist. Bon vivant.

Wooooonderful !
And with the ivory case, it's just perfect. Finest ivory carved pair I've seen for a while, if not the finest.
It also goes for the blades. You can be proud of this part of your collection !
