So this morning I shaved with much pleasure. My Maximillian the Magnificent razor will make tomorrow's shave a big celebration.

Clean and simple, just how I like 'em.
How was the shave this morning?

    Cheers.

The shave was glorious. I stropped the razor on the Kanayama/Kanoyama 80000 — even though it did not need stropping, I'm sure, but I rather enjoy the stropping zen — and 50 strokes on the palm. The razor has superb balance, and the 8/8 blade is ideal for me, more than I ever realized. I matched the razor with Martin de Candre shave soap and a Vie-Long beehive silvertip, one of my preferred brushes. Rounding out the celebration was a touch of Spanish Leather cologne by Truefitt & Hill, my favorite of all the aftershaves and colognes I have tried through the years. Indeed, it was the best way to start Mothers Day.
