Three old razors came in the mail
(1) A Greaves 7/8 wedge off eBay ($54), with some staining and rust. The old horn scales might be salvageable using epoxy and sanding dust from the horn, but I think I'll just use new horn scales.
(2) A Wade and Butcher 7/8 wedge from B&B BST ($80). The rear scale is broken off at the pivot, so this one also gets new horn scales. Not much corrosion on this one. Should clean up more easily than the Greaves.
(3) A Wade and Butcher 13/16 full hollow ground, from B&B BST ($60). This one came shave-ready. I shaved with it once. It shaves fine. But it has a little rust around the pivot. I'll take the scales off and remove the rust.
I'm glad to get these, especially the two wedges. I have a 15/16 Greaves 1/4 grind, and it is one of my favorite razors. Another favorite is a Heljestrand MK 22 6/8 wedge. I think I like that a little better even than my best full hollows, including an MK 33.
