C.F. Wolfertz Allentown PA
I wanted to share a few shots of this old beauty. For those of you who aren't familiar with Mr. Wolfertz, please check out this post> http://straightrazorpalace.com/razor...-grinding.html
My good friend Mark Yundt (mycarver) gave her some TLC which was greatly needed and appreciated. It's easily one of my sexiest razors...and a PA native to boost!

Thanked: 884That is a beauty.
Wolfertz didn't make no junk.
Their knives were awesome too. Bring good money if and when you find one.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

Wolfritz razors are really nice. I shaved with one today. And they were made around a 1/2 hour from where mark is from. Superb shavers and you have a beaut there.

If hometown baldes are your thing, PA is a nice place to live. I've found that collecting knives, cleavers and razors made in my home state could be a hobby in itself...or even a full time job!

Thanked: 884I know a gent who has spent probably the last 40 years of his life collecting PA knives. He's got some interesting tang stamps and some beautiful knives.
Tuna Valley Cutlery has the coolest ring to it for me. LOL
I've never heard of or seen a razor with that stamp, but it would be WAY cool to find one. Their knives today are about as easy to find as chicken lips too. Some guy bought/acquired/started using the name and had Great Eastern Cutlery in Tidioute make some knives for him stamped like the old ones.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. Crandall
Here's a pic (not mine) of a Crandall Bradford PA. I've only seen two. Etsy and eBay...some day I'll track one down.
