Collecting some Sheffields for restoration
I'm still setting up a workshop for restoration, and already have enough razors to keep me busy restoring for a good while, but I decided to go through a final push (final for now) and acquire a few more old Sheffields to work on. Here are five that have come in:
I gave these five a soak in Naval Jelly and went over them with a 120 grit flywheel on the Dremel just to hold them stable while I'm waiting to get around to working on them.
Top left: Joseph Elliot 13/16ths half hollow, Indian Steel
Top right: W&B 13/16ths half hollow
Middle left: Thomas Turner 7/8ths Wedge, Everlasting, tortoise shell scales
Middle right: Joseph Elliot 13/16ths wedge, Fine India Steel
Bottom Center: W&B 8/8ths wedge, For Barbers Use
These all came from the bay except the FBU, which came from SRP classifieds
In a reply post, I'll picture them separately.
There is another coming in, this one below, a Joseph Rodgers 7/8ths:

Here's the Joseph Elliot 13/16ths:
The Joseph Rodgers 13/16ths:
The W&B 13/16ths:
The Thomas Turner 7/8ths:
And the FBU 8/8ths:
The FBU is the real showpiece, but I'm tickled about the Thomas Turner, also. Glad to get some real tortoise shell.

I'm not planning on unpinning it. All original. It had a few tarnished spots, enough to make it worthwhile to polish them out. I'll just finish the polishing and then hone it.
The others will all have to be unpinned. And the W&B 13/16ths will need new scales. The other scales are in pretty good shape.
