Thanked: 0Two flea market finds and enough bells for a church tower
I haven't had time to post my recent acquisitions due to time constraints. So without further ado here they are!
First up is a Le Grelot 1/4 grind with tortoise scales and a Bell inlay in the scales
Next is another Le Grelot Full hollow "shear steel" This has become my favorite, the curves, and the scales look amazing, the shave is the best I've ever had. To the point that I am probably going to try and find one in good condition for a backup.
The third is a w. greaves full wedge with bone scales. I know its not the best condition but I've wanted to shave with a full wedge in a very long time.
Fourth is A J.R. Torrey Barber's notch.
The last is a Le Grelot Full Hollow, it has very nice tang work, and a thumb notch.

Thanked: 2284Geez man, I'd say you hit the mother load. All look like they're in decent shape. The Greaves has some hone wear, but remember it's a wedge. Lots of material to play with. I have a Joseph Rodgers Wedge that had hone wear like that and it turned out to be an excellent razor. Have it professionally restored and I bet you'd be surprised at what you got back.
Great score!Burls, Girls, and all things that Swirl....

Thanked: 0Thanks! The grelots came from the bay but where cheap.
The black spot on the wedge is pretty gnarly. I hope it can come out
