Recent eBay finds after using rejuvenator on pressed horn scales
Earlier today I showed a razor I got off eBay recently which had a whitish residue on the pressed horn scales from age. I went to Home Depot & Lowes asking for neatsfoot & they looked at me like I was stupid or something so I looked around & found some stuff called Rejuvenating Oil & so I bought it. I tried it on the scales of this razor. I put 2-3 coats on it & it did the trick. The first 1-4 pics are before & 5-8 are after using this stuff. It really worked great!

Thanked: 884Looks good. Nice razor.
Pure neatsfoot oil is pretty pricey. The stuff you get from Tandy and the like is a low percentage of neatsfoot with some other stuff tossed in.
I usually use straight mineral oil. Been using it on picked bone pocket knife scales and horn razor scales with good results.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.
