She's at it again!
SWMBO came home yesterday after visiting the kids and grandchildren, and presented me with her latest haul:
Superior Razor - Sheffield, England; 5/8" near wedge, in bone
Clauss 8302 - Freemont, Ohio; 11/16" hollow, in celluloid (?)
The Tower Brand 36 - John S. Holler & Co., Germany; 11/16" hollow, in faux picked bone
J.B.M. SR. - H.C. Kuhlman Co., Richmond, VA, Made in Germany; 11/16" hollow, in celluloid
J.A. Henckels Twinworks (corn razor) - Germany; 3 7/8" long, in Bakelite... "Because it's cute" (she hadn't seen one before)
The J.B.M.'s blade is in excellent condition... no nicks, zero rust, no pitting, only tarnish. I think I'll introduce it to some Flitz and the Swaty, and give it a spin! When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
It's the same when you are stupid.

You one lucky fella! I hope you reciprocate with items appropriate to her likes and interests (does she have a sister like her that likes old men?).

If that was ALL that my wife came home from an antique store I would be relieved. Razors aren't her thing tho, she likes chifferobe's and large pieces of cabinetry that I have to haul into the house. Do you think your wife would be willing to give lessons?

I just finished shaving with the J.B.M., and it's a very nice shave. It'll win no beauty pageants, but the edge is quite good after only a few passed on the Swaty.
I think that the Tower will be next...When you are dead, you don't know that you are dead. It's difficult only for the others.
