    Default Rolls Razor

Well I did go with a friend to some antique shops in hopes of finding some straight razors. We saw two but they weren't important enough to buy. One had a bad frown on it. I did however run across this Rolls Razor that i got a decent deal for $35. I think that was good in the box & complete with two different sets of instructions.
It was also fun to get out for awhile.

Hone her up on a regular set of hones and have at her. They are really good shavers if they have a proper edge put on. Check the hone that came with it for cracks which seems to be a weak point with Rolls Razors.

And, do not hone fast as the flopping blade will beat the snot out of the hone in about twenty strokes if you don't slow for the return..

Very cool Wilkinson Sword set, and good job/price on the Rolls. I've got the Rolls, and like to get it out to play with/shave on occasion.

Great find with the 7day set. I have been looking around for a set like that. I found that the Rolls Razor that I have is really easy to slap the blade on the hone. I had to make a jig to hold the blade to hone it up which I still haven't finished honing it. I don't know how hard the steel is in the blade, but it is a PITA to hone.

I found that it isn't hard to slap the blade on the Rolls into the hone but other than that it is a cool se razor. I still love my straights best because you have variety, age & style. There are just so many different ones. I will enjoy to use a se once in a great while.
