Thanked: 2Crane or Kinfolks...or both...you tell me.
Neat find, but seemingly conflicting stamps of manufacture. Please chime in and enlighten me as I cannot find a single similar razor or any info to educate me on this cutter. Thanks in advance...

Kinfolks-made. Does it say 'Crane Brand'? or Crane Bros'?

Never have seen that. Kinfolks, so named because they were related to the Case family, may have contracted that from Robert Klaas, Kissing Cranes. That is definitely the logo. Very cool piece.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Exactly my thoughts, Jimmy. If it says 'Crane Brand' it would seem to be direct intended competition.

Thanked: 2The stamp on the tang is the exact same stamp on the scales. Crane Brand with the two cranes between the words...

Could not read either by the pics. I think American company trying to get German business. Could be a WWII thing?

Thanked: 2Checked the Kinfolks website, was not very helpful. Didn't know if it was a modern conglomeration product; however, seems older than such a thing...

Thanked: 3228Easy to suspect that Kinfolks was the US importer for Robert Klaas at some point in time.
