Ive been hunt for these big razors for a long time, and ive only came across 3 of them. I passed on the first on because of a major crack. Bought the other two.
Its kinda funny how pumped up you get when you finally fine the razor youve been looking for.

Thanked: 49I thought I found one the other day in a store I had been to before. I saw the scales poking out from underneath something else and almost started salivating because I could tell by the scales it was huge. Got the case unlocked and opened it up. It was huge alright. Huge crack too. Right in the middle of the blade. I do think it was a 9/8 or 10/8. Crack was about a 1/2 inch long. Wade and Butcher. I was heartbroken.

Thanked: 49Exactly! I almost wet myself when I picked it up the scales were so big. When I opened it up it seemed like the blade just kept coming and coming...
Then I saw the crack. I keep thinking I should go back to see what he wants for it. Maybe I could do something with it but the crack is right in the center of the blade.“To be fair, I did have a couple of gadgets which he probably didn’t, like a teaspoon and an open mind.”

Should have picked it up anyways, the crack could have given you some leverage when bargaining. Besides, on a blade that big the crack couldn't have been that substantial. Oh, by the way, I just picked up a W&B 10/8 FBU free in a lot of razors. I bought the lot because of several 1700's stubbies that I have been wanting and the FBU just happened to tag along for the ride.
