Thanked: 3225Vintage Boker King Cutter
Picked this up locally yesterday thanks to a heads up from Andy. Just a run of the mill King Cutter in user condition. Needed another like a hole in the head but hey the price was right and I need honing practice. Took a bit more to set the bevel than I thought it would due to some edge corrosion. Anyway I think we are good to go now and tomorrow mornings shave will tell.

I have always liked Boker be it knives or razors and that appears to be an excellent example of one right there. I have several of those in my regular rotation and they are a pleasure to use.

Thanked: 44For some strange reason bokers seem pretty rare this side of the pond which I find odd. It's the one vintage that I have been after (mainly because I have a new production king cutter, my first razor) and want to compare old with new the ones that do come up are either out of my price range or far too gone

Thanked: 3225Yes, vintage Bokers do have a good reputation and from the 4 that I have it seems well deserved. Well, I should say 3 as I don't know if my honing was up to snuff on this fourth one yet.
Yea, it is odd that there is a dearth of vintage Bokers in England, always wanted to use that word dearth. They were popular here it seems so quite a few around and some in decent shape. Likely why I won't spend the coin on a new one as I am not that curious to find out the difference.
Yea, I should remember not to justify my acquisitions to a bunch of friendly enablers making this forum home.
