Default Yet another Magnum Bonum - Wostenholm

The first one of these I saw was a Marsden, which Zak also has, and which I have seen a few other examples around. We have also seen a Greaves go through ebay, someone recently got a Wade, and now I have found a Wostenholm for myself. There are variations, such as whether the tang is recessed or not, but they all have the same basic shape, etching, and date to around the same period. The blades are actually quite large, around 8/8.

These are very nice. I saw the Greaves go through eBay, the guy initially wanted I think $500. He ended up settling for a best offer. I have a couple of these I posted a few weeks ago. They are different, that's for sure. One of mine has the same blade pattern but has a rounded spine with no writing on it. Too bad the Wosty has no scales. Magnum Bonum, a great good for sure.
