Thread: G. Wostenholm & Sons and a new Boker

I just got my 6th straight razor from Max Sprecher. It's an old George Wostenholm & Son I-XL 6/8 near wedge with purple scales. The bathroom is yellow so it's messing up the color of the scales. Sorry for the crappy Iphone pic, it looks so much better than in the pic. Like all near wedges, it has some weight to it and it can plow through any beard.



I also just bought a brand new Boker Arbolito 5/8 Spanish point. It wasn't shave ready when I got it, so I sent it to Max to hone it. I shaved with it the other day and got a real close shave. It was the first time I've ever used a Spanish point, so I was very careful. That point is wicked but I didn't cut myself. The blade is very light and nimble. It shaved great but I wouldn't use it everyday because I'm usually in a hurry to get to work and I know that point would get me if I'm in a hurry.
