Some of you may have read my previous post, but here's the update: the razor arrived today, and the seller's photos didn't do it justice!
The gold wash is in much better condition than I had thought, especially on the spine and tang. And there's little or no hone wear; I'm wondering if it's ever been honed? The only significant corrosion is at the edge itself... I hope that's fixable... a small area on the spine, and on the monkey tail; both blade faces are excellent except for minimal speckling. The front scale is slightly warped where the logo is, so the toe needs to be guided in. And the box is nearly pristine. Although it wasn't advertised as such, I wonder if this is NOS?
