Thanked: 3225Wostie
This is the second razor I picked up on the trip. Sad shape really but I liked the engraving on the blade so even though the scales had a crack at the wedge, there was plenty of black rust and deep pitting and chips in the blade I took it. Cleaned the metal as best I could not wanting to hand sand too much and risk damaging the engraving, glued up the broken scale with epoxy, bushed the ugly pivot hole with solid brass rod and gave it new brass pins and washers. Not the prettiest job in the world but after I get the old girl honed at least the old 6/8 Wostie will be back in service.

Thanked: 3225Yea, Most of the edge is not too bad except for the first 2 inches back from the toe. Quite a few there and one right at the toe at the end. Used 3 layers of tape because of those little boogers. That part of the blade now has a small upswept part, not much else to do with a chunk outta da corner. At least the bevel appears to be set with one layer of tape off the 1K so it should not take long to finish off now.
