Default New soap from West Africa

I got 2 tubs of a new soap from a friend in Equatorial Guinea in the mail today. I don't know anything about it and was wondering if anyone here had ever used it.

Somebody on the Bladeforums recommended it to me the other day. Would be interested in what you have to say about it. Apparently it is cheap and plentiful in France but nobody imports it in North America that I can find.

When I saw the title of this thread, I assumed it was some kind of joke because of the West Africa connection. Monsavon is the everyday shaving soap in France equivalent to Palmolive in the UK or say Williams in the USA.
My service is good, fast and cheap. Select any two and discount the third.

Lord, I hope it is better than Williams but if it is as good is the Palmolive shave stick that would be good.

    Thanks Bob,

I have a buddy working over there now and knew my love for soap. If you will PM me your address I will send you a sample and we can compare notes. I plan on trying it in the morning with a 7/8 French blade.

I tried it out this morning, I will say that it is not bad. However I will hold off on all my thoughts until the other samples are tried. The scent is lighter than it is in the tub.
