The dark blade is done
Here it is guys , 6 months in the making. My second Bruno/Glen custom, this dark evil looking blade got some exposure where Bruno revealed it after forging, Gugi made a comment from Bram Stokers Dracula about it ,, well Glen really did this blade justice! Seeing as Harley Davidsons are a big part of my life. Here's what he did. Enjoy the eye candy And Jimmy I know it's not your cup of tea ,, but it's really a nice razor!! Tc
Sorry about the photos showing the line at the bevel. This was from Bruno grinds ,, after Glen set the edge he blued everything back black but my photos are before that. I'll send new pics when can.Last edited by tcrideshd; 11-25-2014 at 07:42 PM.

That's awesome...this one really catches my eye, the whole razor fits nicely...the scales and the shape of the blade really work together...that's one of the nicest customs I've seen IMO....congrats!

That is one awesome looking piece. A very attention getting blade.
How does it shave (asking in advance)If you don't care where you are, you are not lost.

That is an awesome quote!
The blank strip is where I protected the blade from the Ferric Chloride / Hydro Chloric acid dip. These days I make lines that are slightly less wobbly. Can't make it black to the edge because that will destroy the steel. Glen can darken it closer to the edge because blueing is supposedly less aggressive (I've never done it so I don't know the operating parameters).
All that said, this project is really one of the nicer success stories involving my blades where everything came together as functional art. Truly a one of a kind!Til shade is gone, til water is gone, Into the shadow with teeth bared, screaming defiance with the last breath.

Yes it is definantly a one of a kind. And also glen fixed it I just don't have pics. He blued the area and then honed so that only a nice thin bevel is showing I just couldn't wait to post. Tc

Thanks one and all for your contributions to my sense of inadequacy. Wonderful craftsmanship; that must require a real sense of pride and devotion to one's work.
