As you take the wire off please let us know if it is one piece of wire , Or a larger matrix with the heart shaped wire placed along side the main work. Just curious since I have never seen such detail ever.

TBH, I don't think the scales are original. Were it mine, I would opt for horn or ivory? JMO.

I know this is an old thread, but I wanted to share a photo from a currently running Ebay Auction. The scales on the razor in the auction are the same as my Mappin, (which I still have, thank you very much) So beautiful when not ruined!
