Default A few exceptional Joseph Elliots

Have had these for a little while but only just got around to pictures. Here are a few Joseph Elliots. First two, one in ivory, one in mother-of-pearl and tortoise; both have silver collars. The panelled one has jimps on the inside of the thumb notches, so I am reasonably sure the notches are original. Absolutely top craftsmanship.

And lastly, figured I should include these. A pair of 17/16 Joseph Elliot For Barbers Use razors, recently acquired through ebay. Suffice it to say they didn't cost much at all (who says you can't get steals anymore).

    Very nice!!!!!!
You should make the pair of FBU's with matching scales & find a two razor box on the bay!

Rezdog was looking for scale tracings, so I figured I'd post them here. In lieu of tracing, I just have a head-on shot if anyone else wants the scale shape.

I'm such a sucker for Elliots.

You may well have that stunning MOP/Tortoise one... But do you have an Elliot razor advertising URANIUM?

    I think not...

I always wondered, how do those double notched tangs behave in stropping? I would imagine the flip would be a bit of a challenge.

Like other shapes, you get used to it. Not too different to handle.

Does it glow in the dark ?
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
