Boxed 7-day interchangeable sets
I've got a thing for these sets with interchangeable blades and locking handle. Here are some recent acquisitions, some of them likely going to Zak soon
First up is a John Heiffor set that, save for one blade, is in near-mint condition, with original finish. Best of the lot, an astounding set. Scales / handle is carved, pique-pin ivory.
A Vining GR, 1820's. Vining was a manufacturer based in London; I have another single blade from the King William period.
And finally, a Walker & Hall set, with penknives built into the handle. Unfortunately the blades have been completely reshaped and ground down to modern-looking hollow shape, but it's still a nice set.

Awesome sets ........ in the pre- modern sense of the word ....... BTW ........ If I had your money I'd burn mine !! ..........
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

Thanked: 4827That pin work always gets me. I have a Walker and Hall set of four I have been working on. Some day I am going to finish something and be able to post my own thread.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
