Gillette Safety Razors 1912 to 1949.
Hey Guys,
These two were rescued yesterday from an antique store down the road. I got a fair price on them. A little cleaning & sanitizing; now they are ready to go.
Thank you for taking the time to look,
Hirlau

Thanked: 20These razors are awesome and it is staggering to think that at around 100 years old they still shave so well.

I have had both of these styles, I sold the ball end (a bit reluctantly) but kept the Fat handle
There is something about the simplicity of these razors that appeals to me and the shave is very good IMHO
Thanks for sharing

They are one area which the overseas competition is far behind for low cost and great usefulness. I can buy a vintage one for $10 and clean it and use it the rest of my life. The blade is always centered and does not go angled at closing the cap.
I have assorted cheap imports that cost more and the blade may go angled to the cap by a mm at each opposite end. That for $28 on a well known advertisement. I have them from Vietnam, China, Turkey, and other ports of call.
It is a shame that the bigger, better, fancier, pricier has taken over from the well made and low cost end of the shaving spectrum.
There are great imported razors, do not mistake me. The problem is they are getting more expensive than a lot of folks are able to pay.

Thanked: 49Those look great Hirlau. Do you use an ultrasonic or just elbow grease?
