Default Extra quality for Christmas. 9 fat pics :<0)

I was thinking this was just going to be an uneventful Christmas. Then the postman came by a few times and things are looking up.
I forgot I did a little impulse shopping and saw some deals I couldn't pass up. No prices mentioned because
    I can't stand the crying :<0)

This one took a lap around the county before it got to the right post office. Tracking can be fun.

    I haven't touched it yet.

Scales described as ivory colored. :<0)
The seller couldn't have been more right about that.
    Pristine ivory I would say.

It cuts hanging hair so I just might strop it and go......

Then the mailman drops another at the door and it just happens to be what I need.
Well, with some care and feeding it will.

Nice Russian Shell , 165. It's missing the obligatory rusty nail to hang it with so
I will just pull one out of the workbench and stick it in there :<0)
It's Dirty, soft and supple with the diamond back on the leather. very few nicks and didn't noticed anything on a test lap.
I am happy with it and think it will clean up well enough to hang in den. Might replace my old horse but paddle.
Okay well, I won't go that far but each razor can choose which it likes most.

Then, postman 2, second trip to the door.
This is a big box. Oh yeah !!!

I'll be posting this in another thread.
Lipshaw in great shape. When I smell leather opening a box I know I am going to like it.

I am thrilled with this beast. The draw is heavy. After using a slick paddle this feels slow but purposeful.

Not sure what it will do but it's more like driving a truck. ( I like driving truck)

Diamond shape pattern leather feels like it's working and love the draw.

I need to go hone something brb :<0)

Well in theory you could now sell most of your other stuff and still be set for shaving
nice scores, i am interested in the lipshaw, i have seen them mentioned a lot but never really looked one out. Does it just rotate on the base to change the sides? Is the leather easy to change?

This is why I was going to put it in another post. I have questions too. To flip it over you juts lift the handle and rotate. Push it down and it locks in place. The leather look easy to change but I think having Neil make one is the only replacement parts available. The Diamond pattern on the 1 piece of leather is hard and abrasive. You can really feel it on the ends where it hasn't been used yet. Feels harsh there.
Maybe I'll have time to do a strop vid soon.

Tom (Sharptonn) IIRC had a thread on them and someone else. I try not to look, cause if I look I want one. Great score ! I love that hanging strop you've got too, not to mention the razor.

I've got one of those CERTIFYD Russian Shell strops. I love it.

Mines didn't come with a set of toes though. I'm thinking I got ripped off.......

Yep, I have an old one just like it I got from Japan. Well-used, but is wonderful-feeling!
    No toes here, either!
