The Hitachi steel was of the best tell produced in Japan!

Very nice, one thing though I have 3 Japanese straights like that but none of them have a washer on it it feels like it is too tight is that the same for yours? And that is a really nice razor

If you are talking about the thrust washer between the blade & scales, yes, just looking at mine sideways into my screen where it is lit up, It ha washers there but it is also tight to open & close. Got it when i got the Super Kikuboshi shown on your thread.
