    Default Good friends

I'm feeling fortunate. My SRP buds are really great!

A week ago my friend Jerry (mrsell63) dropped by and traded me a couple of haircuts for his Naniwa Chosera 1k. I made an oak base for it, no stain, lots on polyurethane. Sweet deal!

Later on in the week I recieved my first two Japanese razors; a 13/16 Tanifuji Favorit and a 5/8 Coral FBU. My man rbaker2778 was kind enough to send them to me for a "test drive"...I'm keeping both!

Great Thanks to my buds here at SRP! The wealth of knowledge and fellowship here is unmeasurable.

Yeah, the 'mateship' here (or fellowship) is immeasurable. It's what really struck me when I joined. Not sure what it is that generates it, you don't find it elsewhere.

Love the stand for the hone...

I'm always so impressed with how generous everyone is with their time and their willingness to share their knowledge. I've met with Pinklather (Robert) several times for help with honing, and he's put wonderful edges on many of my razors to make them shave ready. Obie and Jamie have always responded to my questions. You couldn't ask for a better community of individuals.

I am still waiting to hear the result of Josh's Sunday shave using those two Japanese blades he got from Rob Baker.

I'd been growing out my beard for a few weeks and tonight I decided to use my first Japanese razor. I started out with the 13/16 Tanifuji Favorit with intensions of switching up mid shave to the Coral (OP above). Well, I never let go of the Tanifuji. It was shaving so smoothly and handling like no other so I finnished with it. I'm very happy.
