    Default Dubl Duck "Imperial Ruusia"

well I have been throwing around the idea of buying yet ANOTHER strop !! was looking at trying to mix a few things up and have some choices of diff draw .. while looking at a few new one's I came across this beauty and decided that I would take a shot at it and with it's condition it would be like a new one with the added allure of the vintage factor !!
    well here it is !!

Hey, where was I when this popped up ? Your pretty fast on the trigger there buddy. Nice grab :<0)

What ever you do be careful washing the linen. That stamp is fragile, real fragile. Soaking takes it off.

Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.

I saw it & bid but he beat me. If I had known it was my Greaves buddy, I'd have just let it be!

Man! That is in good shape! I recently got a few oldies and really love them. Condition is everything!

I just got a similar one about two months ago, the leather on mine say's Pig Skin, but the strop leather and linen is the exact same - took awhile to clean it up, there's a thread here about it.

I've treated the leather on mine twice, and it is still as hard as a rock, feels like a glass surface, been palm rubbing it like crazy, but still rock solid.

Be careful - that Green stamp on the linen will fade and run very easily....great catch.

It's an awesome strop! You still got a smoking' deal. I'm in selling mode now & need to thin the herd. We're always communicating. We just need to let the other know what we might be interested in bidding on.
