Bengall fall
So I finally became a victim of not paying attention to what I was doing. I knocked a Bengall off of its shelf while grabbing for a comb. I cracked the scales in half and banged up the edge pretty good. The scales didn't have anything special about them but I like my razors VERY plain. I immediately emailed Glen because I prefer his work as well as his edges. As you can imagine I am in full freak out mode. Anyways, he told me to get it out to him. Only request I had was, nothing fancy.
As always the turn around was 2 or 3 days. How that is possible from where he lives I have no idea lol. I opened the package to a beautiful set of black horn scales and a clean and sharp razor. The thing is absolutely beautiful. Its almost like it was supposed to happen. I just wanted to share it with you all.Last edited by Redcane; 03-01-2015 at 07:26 PM.

Glad you didn't crack the blade. Scales can be replaced most times but a good blade now that's a bitter pill to swallow. I won one off the bay that looked great but I messed up with the one and before I knew it it was toast. cracked. I ended up making a 4/8 out of a 6/8 I cried.

I have a full time job replacing the scales I break. Luckily, no blade damage that is uncorrectable.

Thanked: 2284Kyle, I've also been victim of dropping a razor. Luckily it hit wedge down and only did minor damage. It happens. Glad everything worked out in the end for you, the razor looks great, Glen does fabulous work.

Yep, Glen is good! I sent one to him a while back and he did a fantastic job fixing the razor and honing it. Here is the link to check it out;
