Smile Early 1800s Magnum Bonum (I think)

This is one of those i bought in a "had to have it" moment
Early 1800s Superior Temper with a beveled spine which turned out to have a faint etch which i believe is "MAGNUM BONUM" but i may be wrong. i absolutely love the design of this razor!

That's a very nice blade silverloaf! I think you are possibly right but I'll let some others chime in to verify that one.

I had one of those moments and wound up with a Greaves with the same specs. Still untouched in the Sheffield pile and yours makes me want to drag it out. Um what makes yo believe the "MAGNUM BONUM" part of it. Faint etch ?

    Very nice piece :<0)
Good judgment comes from experience, and experience....well that comes from poor judgment.
