    Default Original Jaques Lecoultre

I was digging through some of my straights & came along this old one. I is an original Jaques Lecoultre w/o the extra blades & it does not have a screw on the end of it to change out the blades. I think this was one of his original ones he first came out with.Name: IMG_8525.jpg

It has a few small chips at the heel of the edge but once I hone it, it should be a good shaver! The edge end is different than the other's I have with interchangeable blades & the tail is shorter which tells me it is an older one.

Very interesting, could be very early, the spine looks very thick, no markings on the tang on either sides?

I meant to also say that the tang had nothing on it!
Thank you as always Martin for the information! I also just looked at it again. I originally thought it didn't have a screw in the end or the spine but it does. It is barely visible because it is flush with it!

I tend to believe the unmarked ones are his .I have six or more similar razors of many marques and many blades are carrying his marque.
Then a few blades with another Arbenze mark (England.) Other than that, knowing is impossible.

I agree with you Richard. I believe they are of the earlier types.
