    Default Wade&Butcher

My latest find. A Wade&Butcher 8/8 with A barbers notch

The scales are not that good,so I will make new ones. But the blade is in excellent condition.

Aaahhh, you found it! Thank you. Last time I was in Stockholm I had miss placed that razor. I'll PM you my address so you can return it to me......

Kidding.... Very nice find! Save those collars on the pins and also the lead wedge. Those may come in handy down the road.

    Edit,
Actually, just saying, but if the opposite scale on the other side isn't that bad. You might want to think about leaving it as is. IMO, it's perfect the way it looks in the pic. If it were mine, I'd polish everything up and that's it.

You found one with nice crisp lines a very deep tang stamp, and very little bad black rust. I would have to say that is a stellar find. If you tell me you found it in the wild and picked it up for a song, I will be wildly impressed. Otherwise I will simply be impressed. It's a shame that there are not enough for everyone to have one. I like mine quite a bit.

Nice razor....The scales look pretty good to me, even if there are bug bites and cracks. I would try to save them. I have a good amount of old straights in my collection with repaired scales and they function fine. Character! :-)
