My Latest DE's
Here are my latest, first the adustable. I have been shaving with it for a month now , hoping to replace my bluetip but it just seems too heavy for me can't get used to it. I'm excited to try the open comb and will today. We will see how the silvertip works today also. More later.

I have shaved with both the Gillette Adjustable and the Superspeed flare-tip. I understand what you are saying about the difference in weight. Open combs are something I still need to try.

Thanked: 3228Everyone is different and I like the weight of my Gillette Fat Boy but each to their own. At what settings have you used your adjustable? I really like Open Comb Gillettes and they will shave very close so I would use a light hand. You are bound to find one of them will suit you.

A couple more thoughts. I have been using the adjustable on 3 or 4 and just find it too heavy for my liking, I'll probably sell it. Can anyone tell from my pic if that is a FatBoy or a Slim?
I used the open comb and just loved the feel but it was pretty harsh, granted first time use and just whatever blade I had on hand, I'll try again.
The silvertip worked well as I have been using a bluetip for over a year. Is the silver more agressive, seems so.

Thanked: 67That's a Slim. The OC one is a NEW long comb. The other is a flare-tip SuperSpeed. That's a the 'normal' SuperSpeed and should be marginally more aggressive than a blue-tip (partly because of the weight difference, and partly because it has more blade gap).
The NEW should be a great smooth shaver. It may take a while to get used to if you've been used to a Blue-Tip.
