The crown has been broken!
Started restoring my first C&R. I had just finished breadknifing, reaching for rag and it went to the floor. Ugly sound when it hit. Heres what i picked up. The rest with a magnet

Thanked: 3795On the bright side, there is little question as to whether or not it is salvageable.
Sorry for your loss.

Good Lord!
It's a sickening feeling isn't it....
Another plus is it was not for a customer.... just your personal razor. (I hope)

Agree, it litterally exploded. Got to sweep with magnet. Or find it with my feet

Thanked: 4826I had a blue diamond at one point, absolutely mint condition, no hone wear to speak of, original finish on the blade, it looked amazing, went to tighten the pivot pin before I honed it for the first time, I dropped it on the concrete floor. It sounded kind of like breaking glass but much louder. It was also a sad day.
It's not what you know, it's who you take fishing!
