    Default Yesterdays Antique Show pickups.

Went to a large antique show yesterday and scored these.

I don't know if scales would be the best use of that Ivory. Seems a bit of a shame to break up such a nice large piece.
I think just keeping it as is would be my choice. It's something of a treasure.

If that hole wasn't drilled in the tip. I tend to agree with you Hart. If it were mine though, ever time I walked by it I would see shaving brushes, not a tusk.

Even with the hole, it is still the tip, not a body section and special.

The hole in the tip would make a nice spot to hang the brush

Man, you had a good day! Wish I could find some ivory or mammoth tusk to put away for future project. Stuff is too expensive for me to buy at retail right now. I wonder what the hole in it was for.

Are both sides of the scales in good shape? Any insect damage? Looks pretty solid. Great razor by the way. I ruined a great set of old horn scales making a newbie mistake, so I appreciate horn scales in good condition even more now!
