Hi there, I'm new to this forum but been learning stuff from it for several years. I sure do appreciate the knowledge and passion you all share here - it's helped me a lot. I enjoy collecting, working on, using, learning, trial and erroring, looking at, thinking about, practicing patience with, etc. etc. straight razors. Having lived a few years before in Northfield, they are one of the razors I always look for.
I have a Northfield Ratler here that seems to have lost one of the T's from Rattler. Strange because all the other examples I see online have "Rattler" with 2 T's. Has anyone seen or does anyone have a "One T Northfield Ratler"?

Thanked: 884The stencil for the etch probably got messed up and they decided to run it anyway.
Only other possibility I can think of would be if some other company was claiming exclusive rights to the word RATTLER and they changed it.
Either way, it's a neat variation.Member Tonkin Gulf Yacht Club, participant SE Asia War Games 1972-1973. The oath I swore has no statute of limitation.

I have a 6-7 Northfields & the one on top is the one I have already shown but I wanted to show a slight difference between the two. You can see that the spine on the top razor swoops up a little more than the one on the bottom. They are both the same otherwise & both say Rattler on the blade. The one on bottom, the etch is a little more faint.
On the one xiaotuzi shows, the person punching in the name just left one "t" out. Must have been a Monday or a Friday.
Here's another Northfield faux frame back, UN-X-LD

Nice ones, Steve! I shall swap you out of one someday!
Oh! Refer to post #5 above!"Don't be stubborn. You are missing out."
I rest my case.

Those are great looking Northfields there! Thanks for the side-by-side shot showing the difference between the two.
