Default Dime Saftey Razor- NOS in an old hardware store

These have not been made since the teens. I jokingly asked in an old hardware store if he had any piles of old razors laying around. The hardware store has been in the same location and family for over 100 years. The owner said yeah, we do, and pulled out a few of these. I had to do some research on pricing, but went back today and got two of them. Pictures of the opening.

I like that. Even comes in a travel tube. Does regular razor blades fit in it?

I'm thinking I won't shave with this one. It's almost a hundred years old, and has never been used. It won't accept any blades made today without modification. I just thought this was too awesome not to get. I actually got two of them, and opened one. The other one is still factory sealed.

That's cool. I'm sure you will keep the other one unopened which is a smart choice!

    Very cool!

I've been into collecting old SE and DE razors and I've never heard of these either. Even if you could find one of these that has been used somewhere, you'd never find a blade in that condition. Great find!

I, for one, would simply HAVE to give that opened one a run. No doubt!
