This one really looks kind of like the last one. just the last name was changed to protect the well you know (saying from the TV show drag net). I think it will clean up ok again I want know until it gets here. looks like I'll have to buy some more wet dry.

I just love them. Whether they have dark horn scales or the golden see through there just a beautiful peace of history. I have never seen one that hasn't been used I just wonder what it would look like.

Thanked: 4827Yes that is another with crisp lines and great potential. You likely won't need that much wet dry either. I often like to start with simply WD-40 and steel wool, get the grunge off and decide where to go from there. Those scales will clean up to be pretty light and pretty is the key word. If you can manage to save the collars it might make it to pretty much original will very low effort. She is a beauty.

I will be looking at another drill press today. the one I have when using a 1/16 drill bit will wobble just a little . it was rather cheap press so far I have made it work but if I find a better one at a fair price I will get it and sell this one. In the past the collar hasn't made it on about 1/2 of the ones I un pined. I can only hope.

Thanked: 4827You may only need a new chuck. I had to swap out mine for the same reason. The old one works like a chard to peening one end of the pin. I also disassemble by hand because it saves more collars. A pin vice with a split point bit works very well, and the split point bit is very important because it start way easier than a regular bit.
