    Default My Biggest Blades

    Well here it gos, first time on the show and tell thread. And I know I should start small but just cant help it!
    The W&B Masonic I bought a year or so ago, but will still post it with my newest acquisitions because they all go well together.
    W&B Masonic 30mm
    J. Elliot Magnum Bonum FBU 30mm
    For Barbers Use Mystery Blade 34mm
    Please if you can help me with some info on the Mystery Blade. I talked to my old friend who know a good bit and have some ideas but of course any ideas are welcome. More info better

    Lovely blades! A Magnum Bonum like that has been on my wishlist for years. The unnamed one looks like an 'Ascher' to me. Wait for Voidmonster to chime in - he's an expert on all things old and Sheffield.

    Them blades will hold a whole shaves worth of lather! They look pretty mean, can't beat em'.

    Those are some huge blades! They look like the might be too large to maneuver well...how do they shave?

    Very nice - I've got two MB's, one 8/8 and this 9/8 W&B Magnum Bonum...always a gas to shave with:

    I haven't shaved with anything bigger than 8/8, and never an 8/8+ wedge. But I found them not as maneuverable as smaller blades, but felt more steady with a big blade. Well we will see. Can't imagine getting under the nose would be easy.
